Ximpulse GmbH, Expertise and Impulse

Principles

Our work is guided by a set of values, principles and approaches:
  1. Broadening perspectives – We offer our clients informed insights, working with them to shed new light on their own experience, values, patterns, structures, activities.
  2. Living with complexity – Complexity is both a challenge and an opportunity.  We assist our clients in disentangling complexity and reframing challenging questions in a workable way.
  3. Creativity – We are committed to providing solutions and approaches using creative out-of-the-box thought-processes in a constructive way
  4. Critical reflection – Our role as external partners often involves inputting critical reflection on the ongoing processes in order to show constructive steps forward
  5. Professionalism – We are committed to maintaining our professional distance, offering our clients an analytical view to the issues at stake, which facilitate them developing their own solution, strategies and activities. We only work in fields in which we have expertise and are competent
  6. Thoroughness – We look at processes of change from a systemic perspective. Systems are created by interactions between people, groups, institutions who have their own interests and perspectives. We take these different perspectives into account in order to design interventions that make change sustainable
  7. Empathy and respect – We are keenly aware of and sensitive to the intercultural dimension of our work. Empathy and respect towards the clients’ and other stakeholders’ views and values is a key factor for any creative and motivated cooperation
  8. Openness – We are committed to a continual process of self-development, learning and improvement. Through critical self-reflection we aim to refine and deepen our own knowledge base and capacities with new creative methods and approaches
  9. Common sense – Bearing in mind that both our own resources and those of our clients are limited, we aim to optimise the use of the latter in a pragmatic way
  10. Practicality – We support our clients with expert contributions, based on a sound analysis of context, harnessing theoretical knowledge and practical experience, and support them in making the next practical steps

“The aspects of things that are most important to us are hidden because of their simplicity and familiarity.”

“Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.”

“There is nothing as practical as a good theory.”
